My cosy traditional home is set on a 650 square meter piece of land. I have 3 bedrooms with an ensuite double room – equipped with all the amenities that travellers, such as yourself would need. You have the option to enjoy cooked meals with vegetables harvested from my organic vegetable and herb garden or glasshouse.Fresh eggs for breakfast laid by the chickens. Enjoy your meals in our sunroom with a garden view. Wake up to fresh coffee or enjoy a pot of tea with your breakfast in the conservatory area, which overlooks the garden.
I strongly recommend that tourists should as much as possible have a flexible itinerary. Many of my guests wish to go to Aoraki Mt Cook or Whalewatch or ride the Tranz Alpine train. If you book 3 or 4 nights in Christchurch this enables you to have a much higher chance of enjoying your sightseeing when the weather is on your side. Christchurch has 85 days of rain a year 650 mm s where as Aoraki Mt Cook has nearly 180 days and between 3 and 4 metres of rain.

“The owner operator, Craig, worked with us to arrange sightseeing activities, doing the calling to get tickets, preparing breakfast, and driving us around. His place is a real house, not a luxury hotel, so you feel like you’re staying with a good friend. He is also very knowledgeable about history, geography, and the many activities possible around Christchurch. We learned a lot about New Zealand just chatting with him. The property has nice gardening, is located in a middle-class neighbourhood and a nice walk to the shops for meals and shopping. It is also near a bus stop for getting downtown.”
