Lunch Option

$25 Sun Room or Garden Lunch.  Suggested menu:  Choice of any two courses

• Home baked bread with home made soup.
• Quiche Lorraine with freshly dug potatoes and green salad.
• Fresh homemade cheesecake accompanied with homegrown berries.

With one eighth of our city given over to parks and gardens, greenery is abundant in our city... We grizzle about our city taxes, but I reckon we are very, very lucky to live in such an environment. Personally I love Spring, and October is just a blaze of blossom as the new Spring leaves herald the end of Winter. From the flowering of the daffodils in late August to the blooming of the Roses in mid November we have a constant array of blooms from Cherries, Magnolias, Azaleas, Rhododendrons and Wisteria to enchant our visitors.

In addition to the shorter "Christchurch garden tour" I am able to arrange visits to much larger scale gardens out in the country. These again can be tailored to suit your individual schedule however if we include lunch you really need to allow 6- 8 hours to do them justice.

Furthermore in the Spring and early Summer many of the local schools have fundraisers around the most attractive gardens in their area. This is a great way to see a much wider selection of gardens in a very local area. These are only conducted on Saturdays and usually from late October through till early December.
